Greece: Industrial output dips in May
Latest reading: Industrial output declined 0.4% in month-on-month seasonally adjusted terms in May, which contrasted April’s 0.5% increase. May’s reading was partly driven by a deterioration in manufacturing output, as it recorded the weakest reading since August 2024. In contrast, electricity supply output improved.
On an annual basis, industrial output declined 2.0% in May, moderating from April’s 4.2% fall. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 2.9%, down from April’s 3.7% reading.
