Greece: Industrial output grows at fastest pace in over one year in June
Latest reading: Industrial output increased 3.2% in month-on-month seasonally adjusted terms in June, which contrasted May’s 0.1% decrease. June’s print marked the best reading since April 2024. The improvement was partly due to a rebound in manufacturing production. In contrast, electricity supply output decelerated.
On an annual basis, factory output increased 0.5% in June, rebounding from May’s 2.0% fall. Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth fell to 2.1% in June (May: +2.9%), signaling a worsening trend in the industrial sector.
