Greece: Economic sentiment decreases in June
Latest reading: Economic sentiment fell to 106.1 in June from May’s 107.0. June’s result marked the weakest sentiment since August 2024. That said, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected weaker sentiment in the industrial sector and among consumers. That said, confidence in the construction, services and retail sectors improved in June.
Considering indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations deteriorated, while the economic uncertainty index increased in June.
