France: Harmonized inflation drops to four-month low in July
According to a flash estimate, consumer prices increased 0.08% in July over the previous month, below the 0.13% rise seen in June, marking the softest rise in prices since February. The reading largely reflected falling prices for manufactured goods.
Inflation fell to 1.2% in July, from June’s 1.5%. Moreover, harmonized inflation came in at 1.6% in July, which was down from June’s 1.9% and represented the lowest inflation rate since March. Meanwhile, annual average harmonized inflation ticked up to 0.9% in July (June: 0.8%).
