France: Industrial output growth moderates in March
Latest reading: Industrial production increased 0.2% month-on-month in seasonally adjusted terms in March (February: +1.0% mom). The slowdown was primarily driven by weaker readings for manufacturing and energy.
On an annual basis, factory output grew 0.2% in March, rebounding from February’s 0.3% fall and marking the best result since April 2024. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 0.5% in March, down from February’s minus 0.4%.
