Finland: Merchandise trade surplus widens in July
Latest reading: In July, the merchandise trade balance improved from the previous month, recording a EUR +2.0 billion surplus (June: EUR +1.1 billion). Over the last 12 months, the goods trade balance summed to EUR +8.8 billion.
Merchandise exports rose 23.0% in annual terms in July, returning to growth from June’s 4.8% contraction, partly due to a cruise ship delivery. Meanwhile, merchandise imports dropped 2.2% vs the same month last year in July (June: +2.8% yoy).
