Finland: Inflation slows in June
July 15, 2019
Consumer prices increased 0.1% in June compared to the previous month, contrasting the 0.2% fall registered in May. The increase was primarily due to higher prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
The Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP)—which does not include certain factors such as the vehicles tax or fishing and hunting fees—showed prices were flat month-on-month in June, contrasting the 0.2% fall in May.
CPI inflation slowed to 1.0% in June, down from 1.2% in May, while HICP inflation slowed to 1.1%, also down from 1.2% in May.
