Finland: Harmonized inflation moderates in June
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation ticked down to 1.9% in June, following May’s 2.0%. The result was primarily driven by a more moderate rise in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages. In addition, price pressures for housing and utilities declined for the first time in four months in June.
Annual average harmonized inflation rose to 1.5% in June (May: 1.4%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 0.2% in June from May’s 0.5%.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices dropped 0.18% in June over the previous month, swinging from May’s 0.08% rise. June’s result marked the weakest reading since November 2024.
