Finland: Economic sentiment falls in October
Latest reading: Economic sentiment fell to 94.4 in October, following September’s 98.6. Consequently, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
In October, sentiment worsened in the industrial sector (-4.8 vs +2.4 in September), the construction sector (-25.1 vs -21.9 in September), the retail sector (+0.6 vs +5.2 in September) and among consumers (-7.5 vs -6.7 in September). However, sentiment improved in the services sector (+2.5 vs +1.9 in September).
