Finland: Economic sentiment rises in September
Latest reading: Economic sentiment increased to 98.9 in September, following August’s 97.2. Still, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
In September, sentiment brightened in the industrial sector (+3.1 vs -1.7 in August), the construction sector (-22.0 vs -26.3 in August), the retail sector (+5.2 vs +2.3 in August) and among consumers (-6.7 vs -7.8 in August). On the flipside, sentiment darkened in the services sector (+1.9 vs +6.3 in August).
