Finland: Economic activity growth rises in June
Latest reading: Economic activity grew 0.7% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in June, up from May’s 0.1% reading. A detailed breakdown is not yet available and will be published at a later date.
On a working-day adjusted annual basis, economic activity fell 0.2% in June (May: +0.2% yoy). As a result, the trend worsened, with the annual average variation of economic activity coming in at 1.3% in June (May: +1.5% yoy).
Meanwhile, preliminary estimates for showed GDP flatlined in seasonally adjusted quarter-on-quarter terms in Q2, mirroring Q1’s reading. A more detailed release will be published on 29 August.
