Euro Area: Unemployment rate stable in June
Latest reading: In June, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was stable at May’s downwardly revised record-low 6.2%.
As for the Eurozone’s largest economies, the unemployment rate stabilized in France, Germany and the Netherlands, while it fell in Italy and Spain.
Significant disparities in labor market conditions between members persist: Spain was the economy with the highest unemployment rate in May (10.4%), followed by Finland (9.3%). At the other end of the spectrum, Malta (2.5%) and Germany (3.7%) had the lowest unemployment rates.
