Estonia: Industrial production shrinks in August
Latest reading: Industrial production was down 1.4% on a working day and seasonally adjusted year-on-year basis in August, following a 0.5% increase in the prior month.
Relative to the prior month’s data, the reading for manufacturing worsened in August (+2.4% on a year-on-year basis vs +3.3% in July). In contrast, the reading for mining and quarrying improved in August (+0.6% vs -8.7% in July).
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial production was up 1.5% in August, following a 5.6% decline in the previous month.
