Estonia: Industrial output dips in May
Latest reading: Industrial production decreased 1.5% year on year in seasonally and calendar-adjusted terms in May (April: +1.9% yoy). May’s reading was partly due to a deterioration in manufacturing production growth, as it expanded at the slowest pace since December 2024. In addition, mining and quarrying output fell heavily.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production fell 0.5% in May (April: +1.2% mom s.a.). Meanwhile, annual average of industrial production was steady at April’s 2.0% in May.
