Estonia: Economic sentiment rises in July
Latest reading: Economic sentiment rose to 88.0 in July from June’s 87.4. Nevertheless, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
July’s uptick reflected stronger sentiment in the industrial, retail and construction sectors. Moreover, confidence in the services sector improved. That said, consumer confidence cooled from the prior month.
Relating to indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations were healthier, while the economic uncertainty index decreased in July.
