Estonia: Economic sentiment drops in June
Latest reading: Economic sentiment fell to 87.2 in June from May’s 87.9, marking the weakest sentiment since October 2024. Consequently, the index remained entrenched below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a downbeat near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected weaker sentiment in the industrial, services and construction sectors.. Meanwhile, sentiment among consumers and in the retail sector improved.
Considering indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations were healthier, while the economic uncertainty index fell in June.
