Dominican Republic: Inflation declines to lowest level since January in June
Latest reading: Inflation came in at 3.6% in June, which was down from May’s 3.8% and represented the lowest inflation rate since January. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and transport increased at a slower rate in June.
Annual average inflation remained at May’s 3.5% in June. Meanwhile, core inflation was stable, coming in at May’s 4.2% in June.
Lastly, consumer prices rose 0.21% over the previous month in June, accelerating from May’s 0.08% rise.
