Denmark: Inflation ticks down in October
Latest reading: Consumer prices were up 2.1% in annual terms in October, following a 2.3% increase in the previous month.
Relative to the previous month’s data, there were reduced price pressures for housing and utilities (+1.5% in annual terms vs +1.6% in September), transportation (+1.5% vs +2.0% in September) and food and non-alcoholic beverages (+4.5% vs +5.3% in September). Finally, the variation in clothing and footwear prices was the same as in the prior month (-0.8% in October and September).
Meanwhile, core consumer prices increased 2.3% in annual terms in October, following a 2.2% rise in the prior month.
Finally, consumer prices were up 0.41% in October on a month-on-month basis, following a 0.08% fall in the prior month.
