Denmark: Inflation rises in September
Latest reading: Consumer prices were up 2.3% in annual terms in September, following a 2.0% increase in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, there were higher price pressures for housing and utilities (+1.6% in annual terms vs +1.3% in August) and transportation (+2.0% vs +0.6% in August). In contrast, there were milder price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages (+5.3% vs +5.8% in August) and clothing and footwear (-0.8% vs +0.7% in August).
Meanwhile, core consumer prices rose 2.2% on a year-on-year basis in September, following a 2.3% rise in the previous month.
Lastly, consumer prices were down 0.08% in September on a month-on-month basis, following a 0.65% fall in the prior month.
