Denmark: Inflation increases in June
Latest reading: Inflation ticked up to 1.9% in June from May’s 1.6%. Looking at the details of the release, food and non-alcoholic beverages prices rose at a marginally quicker pace in June compared to the previous month, and price pressures for transportation rebounded. Still, housing and utilities inflation moderated in June from May.
Annual average inflation remained at May’s 1.6% in June. Meanwhile, core inflation rose to 1.9% in June from the previous month’s 1.6%.
Lastly, consumer prices increased 0.25% in June over the previous month, following the 0.08% rise seen in May. June’s figure marked the highest reading since February.
