Denmark: Inflation inches up in May
Latest reading: Inflation ticked up to 1.6% in May from April’s 1.5%. The uptick was primarily driven by a rise in food inflation more than offsetting easing price pressures for housing and utilities and falling transport costs.
Annual average inflation remained at April’s 1.6% in May. Meanwhile, core inflation fell to 1.6% in May from the previous month’s 1.7%.
Finally, consumer prices rose 0.08% in May over the previous month, unchanged from April’s reading.
