Denmark: Manufacturing activity growth dips in May
Latest reading: Manufacturing output grew 0.1% month on month in seasonally adjusted terms in May (April: +2.1% mom s.a.). Looking at the details of the release, capital and intermediate goods output swung into contractions in May. More positively, non-durable consumer goods production rebounded.
On an annual basis, manufacturing production dove 6.2% in seasonally adjusted terms in May, a less pronounced contraction than April’s 13.8% fall. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of manufacturing production coming in at 0.1% in May, down from April’s 1.3% reading.
