Denmark: Manufacturing production declines in August
Latest reading: Manufacturing production fell 2.9% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in August, following a 1.4% rise in the previous month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, the reading for non-durable consumer goods softened in August (-6.4% mom s.a. vs +3.5% in July). In contrast, readings improved for investment goods (-0.1% vs -0.7% in July) and intermediate goods (+3.9% vs -1.2% in July).
On a seasonally adjusted year-on-year basis, manufacturing production fell 5.8% in August, following a 6.3% decline in the prior month.
