Denmark: Manufacturing production bounces back in April
Latest reading: Manufacturing output expanded 2.0% month on month in seasonally adjusted terms in April (March: -3.2% mom s.a.). Looking at the details of the release, April’s rebound was broad-based: Both investment and intermediate goods returned to growth, while non-durable consumer goods output contracted at a softer rate.
On a seasonally adjusted annual basis, manufacturing production nosedived 13.7% in April (March: -5.0% yoy), the worst result since May 2020. Accordingly, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of manufacturing production coming in at 1.4%, down from March’s 4.2% reading.
