Czech Republic: Inflation slows in September
Latest reading: Consumer prices rose 2.3% in annual terms in September, following a 2.5% rise in the previous month.
Relative to the previous month’s data, price pressures reduced for recreation and culture in September (+4.1% on a year-on-year basis vs +4.2% in August). In contrast, there were more notable price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages (+3.3% vs +2.7% in August) and transportation (+0.2% vs -1.1% in August). Finally, the change in housing and utilities prices was the same as in the prior month (+2.0% in September and August).
Finally, consumer prices declined 0.58% in September in month-on-month terms, following a 0.06% rise in the previous month.
