Czech Republic: Inflation falls in July
Latest reading: Inflation eased to 2.7% in July from June’s 2.9%, but still remained close to the upper bound of the Central Bank’s 1.0–3.0% inflation target range. The moderation was due to a steeper drop in transportation costs. In contrast, price pressures for food plus housing and utilities rose at a faster rate.
The trend was unchanged, with annual average inflation coming in at June’s 2.6% in July.
Finally, consumer prices increased 0.45% from the previous month in July, picking up from June’s 0.26% increase.
