Czech Republic: Industrial production recovers in September
Latest reading: Industrial production rose 1.0% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in September, following a 1.0% decline in the prior month.
Relative to the prior month’s data, readings in September improved for manufacturing (+2.3% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms vs -1.1% in August) and mining and quarrying (-2.3% vs -7.9% in August). In contrast, the reading for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply softened in September (-10.0% vs +0.9% in August).
On a working-day adjusted year-on-year basis, industrial production was up 0.5% in September, following a 1.3% decline in the previous month.
