Czech Republic: Industrial output growth gains momentum in April
Latest reading: Industrial output grew 0.8% in month-on-month seasonally adjusted terms in April (March: +0.5% mom s.a.). The reading reflected a broad-based upturn, with activity in the manufacturing, energy supply plus mining and quarrying sub-sectors all improving in April.
On an annual basis, factory output rose at a quicker rate of 2.0% in calendar-adjusted terms in April (March: +1.6% yoy), the best result since March 2023. Accordingly, the trend improved, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 0.5%, up from March’s minus 0.6%.
