Cyprus: Harmonized inflation drops to lowest level since June in September
Harmonized inflation eased to 9.0% in September, following August’s 9.6%. September’s figure marked the weakest inflation rate since June. The result was driven by moderating price pressures for transportation and housing and utilities.
Annual average harmonized inflation rose to 7.2% in September (August: 6.8%).
Meanwhile, consumer price inflation edged down to 8.7% in September, from August’s 8.9%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices dropped 1.03% in September over the previous month, swinging from August’s 0.51% rise. September’s result marked the weakest reading since September 2019.
