Cyprus: Economic sentiment eases in June
Latest reading: Economic sentiment fell to 104.6 in June from May’s 106.0. June’s result marked the weakest sentiment since July 2024. That said, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected weaker sentiment in the industrial, services and retail sectors. That said, confidence in the construction sector and among consumers rose in June.
Regarding indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations deteriorated, while the economic uncertainty index improved in June.
