Croatia: Harmonized inflation increases in June
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation edged up to 4.4% in June, following May’s 4.3%. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages increased at a faster pace in June, while prices for transportation flatlined after falling for three consecutive months. Meanwhile, housing and utilities prices rose at a softer rate.
The trend pointed up mildly, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 4.0% in June (May: 3.9%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation ticked up to 3.6% in June from May’s 3.5%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.81% from the previous month in June, accelerating from May’s 0.54% rise. June’s uptick was the highest reading since July 2024.
