Croatia Inflation October 2020

Croatia: Consumer prices decline on annual basis in October

November 17, 2020

Consumer prices rose 0.39% over the previous month in October, below September's 0.88% increase. October’s softer increase was chiefly driven by much weaker growth in prices for clothing and footwear. Meanwhile, prices for housing and utilities declined, after they flatlined in the previous month.

Consumer prices fell 0.1% year-on-year in October, following September’s flat reading. Consequently, annual average inflation inched down to 0.4% in October from September’s 0.5%.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect inflation to average 1.0% in 2021, which is unchanged from last month’s forecast. In 2022, the panel sees inflation averaging 1.5%.
