Croatia: Industrial output growth eases to six-month low in May
Latest reading: Industrial output expanded 1.8% year on year in working-day adjusted terms in May (April: +6.5% yoy). The outturn marked the worst reading since November 2024. May’s reading was partly due to a smaller increase in manufacturing production. In addition, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning output fell markedly.
Meanwhile, the trend improved, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 1.0%, up from April’s 0.6% reading. On a monthly basis, industrial production dropped 2.9% in seasonally adjusted terms in May, contrasting April’s 2.5% expansion.
