Croatia: Industrial activity drops at sharpest pace since November 2024 in July
Latest reading: Industrial output fell 1.0% year on year in working-day adjusted terms in July (June: +2.1% yoy). July’s outturn marked the worst reading since November 2024. The downturn was driven by a contraction in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply, and decelerations in mining and quarrying plus manufacturing production.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 1.7%, down from June’s 1.9%. On a monthly basis, industrial production increased 2.6% in seasonally adjusted terms in July, rebounding notably from June’s 1.3% fall and marking the best result since December 2024.
