Costa Rica: Contraction in economic activity eases slightly in September
Economic activity decreased 7.1% in year-on-year terms in September, following the record 7.3% fall logged in June–August.
September’s reading reflected a contraction in almost all sectors, with only the information and communications sector recording an expansion. The hardest-hit sectors were the ones related to tourism—namely food services and accommodation—together with the transportation and storage, and commerce sectors.
