Chile: Business confidence weakens in April
Business confidence dropped to 51.4 in April from March’s 55.9, which had marked the strongest sentiment since June 2018. However, the index remained above the 50-point threshold, which separates optimism from pessimism among businesses.
April’s decrease was driven by a broad-based deterioration, with sentiment in the commerce, construction, industrial and mining sectors recording declines.
