Bulgaria: Industrial activity decreases at sharper pace in June
Latest reading: Industrial output dropped 6.6% year on year in June (May: -6.0% yoy). The deterioration due to a sharper fall in manufacturing output. In contrast, mining output gained steam.
On a monthly basis, industrial production dropped 1.7% in seasonally adjusted terms in June, contrasting May’s 0.7% expansion. Meanwhile, the trend improved modestly, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 4.0% in June, up from May’s minus 4.2% reading.
