Belgium: Industrial output growth moderates in April
Latest reading: Industrial production growth slowed to 0.2% month on month in seasonally adjusted terms in April (March: +2.0% mom s.a.). The reading was partly due to a deterioration in manufacturing production. In contrast, energy production rebounded.
On an annual basis, factory output fell at a softer rate of 1.0% in April (March: -2.0% yoy). Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 1.5%, down from March’s minus 1.4% reading.
