Belgium: Growth ticks up in Q3

According to a flash estimate released by the National Bank of Belgium (NBB) on 29 October, in the third quarter, the economy grew a modest 0.4% from the previous quarter in seasonally-adjusted terms, a notch above the 0.3% expansion logged in the second quarter. In annual terms, third-quarter growth came in at 1.7%, above the 1.4% reading recorded in the previous quarter.
More comprehensive data will be released on 30 November.
Belgium GDP Forecast
FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect the economy to expand 1.6% in 2019, unchanged from last month’s forecast, and 1.6% again in 2020.
