Belarus: Inflation rises to highest level in nearly eight years in June

Consumer prices increased 1.13% over the previous month in June, accelerating from May's 0.72% increase.

Inflation came in at 17.6% in June, up from May’s 17.0%. June's reading marked the highest inflation rate since November 2014. Annual average inflation rose to 12.4% in June (May: 11.8%).

FocusEconomics analysts project inflation to average 17.8% in 2022, which is down 1.2 percentage points from last month’s forecast. In 2023, the panel sees inflation averaging 13.6%.
