Belarus: Inflation drops to lowest level since May in August
Latest reading: Inflation edged down to 7.2% in August, which followed July’s 7.4%. August’s figure represented the weakest inflation rate since May. The reading was driven by moderating price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages plus transportation.
Annual average inflation rose to 6.2% in August (July: 6.1%).
Lastly, consumer prices fell 0.30% from the previous month in August, contrasting July’s 0.20% rise. August’s result marked the weakest reading since August 2023.
