Belarus: Industrial output records best reading since December 2019 in September

Industrial output grew 1.4% compared to the same month a year earlier in September, which contrasted August's 0.1% decrease. September's print marked the strongest rise since December 2019.

Meanwhile, the annual average variation of industrial production was steady at August's 0.9% in September.

FocusEconomics panelists project that industrial production will shrink 4.2% in 2020, which is up 0.9 percentage points from last month’s projection. In 2021, industrial output is seen increasing 1.1%, which is up 0.2 percentage points from the previous month’s forecast.
