Belarus: Industrial output growth slides to over two-year low in June
Latest reading: Industrial production rose 0.3% year on year in June, down from May’s 1.0% increase. The result marked the worst reading since February 2023. Manufacturing output growth slowed to an over two-year low, and energy output growth moderated. Meanwhile, mining and quarrying production growth stabilized, and water supply flatlined in June, an improvement from May’s contraction.
Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth fell to 4.0% in June (May: +4.6%), signaling a worsening trend in the industrial sector.
