Austria: Industrial output growth eases in July
Latest reading: Industrial output rose 0.8% in month-on-month seasonally adjusted terms in July, which followed June’s 0.9% increase. The deceleration was chiefly driven by weaker durable consumer goods output. In addition, non-durable consumer goods output lost pace.
On an annual basis, factory output grew 1.8% in July, which was below June’s 2.0% expansion. Meanwhile, the trend improved, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at an over one-year high of minus 0.4%, up from June’s minus 0.8%.
