Argentina: Inflation climbs further in April
Consumer prices rose 4.1% over the previous month in April, following the 4.8% increase logged in March, which had marked the fastest increase in 18 months. In April, the sharpest increases in prices were recorded for clothing and footwear, transport and food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Inflation increased to 46.3% in April from March’s 42.6%, logging the highest print since March 2020. Meanwhile, annual average inflation inched up to 40.3% in April (March: 40.2%).
