Belgium Consumer Confidence July 2019

Belgium: Consumer sentiment marginally up in July

July 19, 2019

The consumer confidence indicator produced by the National Bank of Belgium (NBB) rose 1 point in July to minus 6 points. July’s uptick was attributable to slight improvements in consumers’ expectations of the macroeconomic situation and assessment over their capacity to save.

FocusEconomics analysts expect household spending to grow 1.2% in 2019, which is up 0.1 percentage points from last month’s forecast, and 1.6% in 2020.
