Argentina: Industrial output growth softens in June
Industrial production rose 6.9% year on year in June (May: +12.1% yoy). Looking at the details of the release, June’s growth was underpinned by rises in production of automotive vehicles, basic metals and textiles.
On monthly basis, factory output increased 2.6% in calendar-adjusted terms in June, contrasting May’s 0.7% decrease. Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth fell to 8.0% in June (May: +9.0%), signaling a worsening trend in the industrial sector.
