Ucrania: Inflation declines to lowest level since April 2022 in April
Inflation dropped to 17.9% in April from March’s 21.3%. April’s result marked the weakest inflation rate since April 2022. Looking at the details of the release, price pressures for food, housing and utilities, and transportation softened from the previous month.
The trend pointed up slightly, with annual average inflation coming in at 23.3% in April (March: 23.2%). Meanwhile, core consumer prices were unchanged over the same month last year matching March’s result.
Finally, consumer prices increased 0.19% over the previous month in April, slowing down from March’s 1.50% increase. April’s result marked the weakest reading since August 2021.
