Japón: Industrial output grows less in March
Industrial output rose 1.0% month-on-month in seasonally-adjusted terms in March (February: +4.6% mom). March’s figure was largely driven by manufacturing output growing less. In addition, mining production fell.
On an annual basis, industrial output fell at a more pronounced rate of 0.6% in March (February: -0.5% yoy). Meanwhile, the trend improved modestly, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 0.2%, up from February’s minus 0.3%.
