Ukraine: Consumer prices drop again in December
January 5, 2013
In December, consumer prices rose 0.2% over the previous month, which contrasted the 0.1% drop seen in November and marked the highest reading in nine months. The monthly print mainly reflected higher prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages as well as for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels.
That said, despite the monthly increase, consumer prices dropped 0.2% in December over the same month the previous year, which mirrored the result recorded in the previous month.
